150 Days till Boise 1/2 Ironman. Training Begins!

Using the trigeek training plan this year. I really like the way it is setup and the no nonsense approach to training. Very helpful and saves a lot of time.

My starting weight with clothes and shoes is 223lbs. I need to loose about 10 pounds to be ready. In order to do this somewhat scientifically, I am tracking calories. Here is a screenshot from my iphone of the calorie counter I am using. Its a free program called looseit.

Overall I feel very rested, healthy and ready to train. I dread the winter months for the cold, but indoor trainers, and lengthening daylight help the spirits! Common spring!

My first workout for this plan was a 55 minute run. Just took it easy and enjoyed it. During my workouts I normally listen to a sermon of some sort but today I opted to pray and I really enjoyed just thinking about using the life God has given me for his purposes.
